Chirality

Chirality (from Greek χείρ meaning hand) is a property of any object that is not superimposable on its mirror image.
If you take the mirror image of an object and cannot rotate it back to its original shape, then it is chiral.

See the Wikipedia article Chirality (chemistry) for more detail.

Axial chirality

Some allenes possess axial chirality. They don't need a tetrahedral atom with four different substituents to be chiral.
